Coal tar shampoo
Coal tar may reduce scaling, inflammation and itching. It can smell strong, stain light hair or fabrics and increase sensitivity to sunlight.
Follow the instructions. Seek professional advice if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, treating a child or using other psoriasis medication.
Salicylic acid shampoo
Salicylic acid softens thick scale and may help prescribed treatments reach the affected skin.
